About Coach Sam

Sports have shaped my entire life. I grew up competing in hockey, boxing, tennis, skiing, and golf — sports that taught me the power of discipline, resilience, and teamwork. But I also learned firsthand that the toughest battles don’t happen in the gym or on the ice — they happen in the mind.

That realization led me to become both a certified boxing coach and a mindfulness coach, blending athletic performance with mental training. Over the years, I’ve worked with athletes who were physically ready but struggled with nerves, pressure, and confidence. I saw how much potential could be unlocked when athletes learned the tools to stay calm, focused, and resilient — not just in sports, but in school and life, too.

I started Hold Fast Coaching to give youth athletes that edge. My mission is simple: to help athletes build unshakable confidence, bounce back from setbacks, and compete with clarity and purpose.

Because when athletes learn how to master their mindset, they don’t just improve their game — they build skills that last a lifetime.
